International Peace Plans - Who is Right? Overview of Rick Warren's World wide Peace Program.

Rick Warren, writer of the best-selling book The Purpose Driven Life and chief of the Saddleback brilliant church in California has launched an international PEACE strategy which seeks to get one-billion foot soldiers for the Kingdom of God. In a talk given to 30,000 people in Anaheim, USA h-e announced his plan which may forever change the face of international missions to battle these five worldwide giants for which the church can become the ultimate distribution and change agent to overcome Spiritual Emptiness, Self-serving Leadership, Poverty, Illness and ignorance (or illiteracy). This is the most important number of communications weve actually shown in 23 years here at Saddleback church. We believe that it is the main beginning of a Spiritual Awakening, a Global Movement, a Fresh Reformation. The First Reformation returned us for the communication of the original church. It had been a reformation of doctrine - what the church BELIEVES. This 2nd Reformation will get back us for the vision of the first church. It will be a reformation of purpose- what the church DOES on earth.

All this seems very inspiring and is having an enormous effect on evangelical Christians. However the idea that the church can change the authority of the world system and eradicate poverty, disease and ignorance does not square up with the Word of God or with the truth of what is happening in the world today. Jesus said you can find likely to be pestilences, earthquakes, famines and disasters striking the earth with increasing frequency within the last few days and widespread persecution of Christians, in reality the whole opposite of what Rick Warren says.

This is not to say that Christians shouldn't be engaged in giving aid to those in need in the world. But the proven fact that the church might be mobilised to provide a fresh management to the world which will eliminate poverty and social problems is another restatement of the dominion teaching which has blinded Christians to the fact of the prophetic word over the past thirty years and sent them down the way to frustration. Dreams of transforming society and endless prophecies of certain resurrection always turn to ashes and dust within the face of social reality. More and more people switch to yoga, Tai Chi and other alternative spiritualities predicated on Hinduism and western religions, Islam becomes more and more aggressive, and apostate Church leaders continue to reject the fundamentals of the religion to the applause of the media which for the most part shows hate and contempt for the Lord Jesus Christ. Meanwhile crime, violence, terrorism, breakdown of family life and sexual immorality continue to increase at alarming rates across the world, producing life almost unbearable for millions.

There's not a shred of evidence both in the Bible or in world events around us a million man evangelical Christian army will lead the world out of darkness into the light of Rick Warrens New Reformation. In the first place there are not a million evangelical Christians on the earth anyway. The only way you will come up with this specific number is if you include the Roman Catholics and other nominal Christians as an ingredient of the same church, which seems to be the way of modern evangelical Christianity anyway. Billy Graham said of the late Pope He was among those rare individuals whose legacy will endure long after he's gone. I'll remember his personal warmth to me and his deep interest in our ministry. For other ways to look at the situation, you might require to look at: pastor lee mcfarland. Fran Edwards, Director of UK Evangelical Alliance, explained, John Paul II was one of the most notable Christian leaders of recent times, a Christian pastor having a commitment to the church and evangelisation and to creedal Christianity. John Houston, creator of Hillsong Church in Australia said, We hope that papacy, like those before it is marked by dedication to seeing the Christian concept move forward and people transformed by the strength of the Gospel.

How can Roman Catholicism and the late Pope who thought Mary to be always a mediator between man and God and who was happy to say that Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and animists were praying to the same God as Christians be commended in this way by evangelical Christians? How do people be improved by the power of the Gospel in a church which denies that power? We must return to the first Reformation and recognize the role of Roman Catholicism in persecuting Biblical Christianity and stopping the spread of the authentic Gospel and the Word of God if this really is the majority view of evangelical Christians today.

In the actual Reformation males like Jan Hus, Latimer, Ridley and Tyndale gave their lives being burnt at the position to be able to bring the glorious message of the Gospel to people blinded by popish superstition and error. In the huge churches of America that are selling the New Reformation financed by Rick Warren we have dance surfaces, departmental stores and Christianity made pleasant and welcome to individuals while for one of the most part the Phrase of God is left outside, especially when it concerns Bible prophecy.

In his book Purpose Driven Life (page 285-6) Rick Warren signifies that the research of prophecy is a diversion from sharing our faith. Commenting o-n Acts 1.6-8, he writes Jesus quickly moved the conversation to evangelism, Once the disciples wanted to speak about prediction. H-e wanted them to pay attention to their mission to the entire world. He said basically, The facts of my return are none of the business. What's your organization may be the mission I have given you. Concentrate on that! This actually misses the purpose of the discussion between Jesus and the disciples in Acts 1. Jesus was not saying the details of His return are none of our business, He was just saying the events surrounding the restoration of the Kingdom to Israel weren't going to happen there and then in the lifetime of the disciples, but they had work to do, which can be to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

If the Lord considered the details of His return to be nothing of our business it is somewhat odd that He should tell the disciples the indications of His second to arrive the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 1-3, Luke 2-1) and that therefore much of the Old and New Testament should be used up with predictions relating to this event.

Actually the theory that there is a conflict between those who want to review prophecy and those who want to access it with the vision of Jesus is really a red herring. You'll understand the urgency of the communication of the Gospel going out so that people can be preserved from the sense that is coming on the world if you understand prophecy. It is the apostate church that really wants to obtain the Christians away from looking at the prophecies of the Bible, since they reveal that within the last few days you will have false Messiahs and false prophets leading several astray and a false Church allied to-the political world system taking persecution to the genuine Christians (Matthew 24.5, 23-26, 2 Thessalonians 2, 2 Timothy 3-4, 2 Peter 2, Jude, Revelation 17).

Interestingly the Roman Catholic Church in Britain has published a statement called The Gift of Scripture which says that people can't expect to find complete precision in the Bible. In particular it says that the Book of Revelation and the first 11 chapters of Genesis are not to be take-n literally and that we can't expect to find information about the end-of the world in Revelation. Yet the Lord Himself states that Revelation is about the things that'll take place next (Rev 1.19) and it explains at length the Great Tribulation period, the rule of the Beast (Antichrist), Armageddon and the 2nd Coming of Christ to the earth. Discovery 22.18-19 pronounces a curse on those who would add or take away from the language of the book of this prophecy.

Needless to say it's not just Roman Catholicism that is saying you can't take Revelation and Genesis really. Many supposedly evangelical Bible schools teaching people for ministry in churches in the UK also pour scorn on a literal interpretation of Genesis and Revelation. However if we can not trust what God says about first and the end, why must we trust what He says about what happens in-between? In fact Creation science organizations are producing excellent material showing the Genesis account is the most probable explanation of how we got to be here and our purpose within this newspaper is to help Christians understand the significance of Bible prophecy and its relation to recent events.

Those who have a practical and sober analysis of the present world situation should recognize that the world is heading for the rule of the Antichrist and the Great Tribulation. A world that indoctrinates its young ones with occultism, violence and sexual immorality is not likely to change en-masse to Jesus the Messiah when the issues hit our planet, but to-the false Messiah or Antichrist (Revelation 13). The world system today is a house on the sand which is heading for catastrophe and neither politicians, business leaders nor church leaders have the ability to stop the calamity that's coming. The only one who can sort out the mess which we've made of the earth is the Lord Jesus Himself and Bible prophecy causes it to be clear that He'll do that when He returns in power and glory.

But if the church continues to be encouraged to deny the prophetic word and to work with the world in wanting to solve its issues by an international PEACE plan, it'll end-up compromising with the world process and the apostate church, called Mystery Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth in Revelation 17.5. As this enterprise is going to persecute genuine Christians (I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus), the phone call of god is to Emerge of Babylon not to work with it!

Gods real peace plan has to do with Jesus the Messiah returning to the Mount of Olives at the time when global struggle gives the armies of the earth to Jerusalem at the end-of this age. In the meantime His contact is for us to make peace with God by repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who shed His blood at the corner in order to redeem us. Sadly in the midst of all the clamour for a New Reformation which Rick Warren is calling for, there is a growing neglect of the preaching of the Gospel and study of the Word of God in professing evangelical churches. Consequently the New Reformation is in fact hunting like the Counter Reformation which sought to lead the church right back to the dark ages of prejudice and superstition.

We do recognize however that a global movement mobilising Christians is required, but mobilising them to warn of the coming time of thinking and to-point to the Lord Jesus who has come in fulfilment of prophecies of the Suffering Servant Messiah and who is coming again in fulfilment of the prophecies of the Reigning King Messiah. We have to pray that the Holy Spirit will raise up such an action and distribute the term of answer to this last-generation while time remains.

Sir Isaac Newton, the famous scientist who lived from 1643 1727, was a Bible believing Christian. H-e wrote About the time of the end, a human body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the Prophecies and insist upon their literal meaning in-the midst of much clamour and opposition. Since the world heads for disaster many people are likely to be looking for a solution helping to make sense. The idea that the Christians are about to resolve the problems of poverty and take over the government and provide godly authority to the world will look ridiculous in the conditions described by the Apostles and Jesus for the end-of this age. If you have an opinion about reading, you will probably choose to research about lee mcfarland. The only concept which will make sense is the call to flee the wrath in the future and for that Kingdom of God is at hand to repent and believe the Gospel.

While we don't have the kind of numbers Rick Warren may ask, we do have a growing community of people around the world who realize that the end of this age is coming and need to make the concept of salvation known. If you're on a sinking ship and the water is flowing in via a large number of holes, there's very little point in directing your efforts to completing the holes. You have to be getting people off the ship and onto living boat.

By this I do not imply that Christians shouldn't be involved in as an integral part of a concern for his or her eternal souls helping those in need. I do mean that if Christians think they could save your self the world process by therefore doing they are going to be unhappy. It is because the ship the human race is going in to-day, the Cosmos world system, is holed in lots of places underneath the water line. It can not be saved from destruction. Nevertheless the individuals who are onto it could be saved. There is only 1 lifeboat that may take us to safety repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you are pushed to accomplish something about this here are some suggestions. If you believe anything, you will perhaps need to research about lee mcfarland.

1. Pray that God will raise up those who can minister the truth in these days and point people to salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus.

2. Deliver brochures, journals, books and films designed to make people conscious of the coming-of the Lord and the way in which of salvation (we could supply).

3. Organise a Bible study considering the issues of the end times (we have made some Bible studies with this subject The Omega Course, designed for 1 including postage).

4. Plan a gathering (in a house or in a church) to show a movie about the end times and receive non Christians along. Which means you are able to show people bothered by what is happening in the world that Jesus is coming again and how to locate faith in Him study your-self..
